Oh, Yeah. I'm Completely Under the Radar
Welp, this was a crazy week in “I’m trying to keep a startup afloat.” I suppose nothing will ever grow fast or big enough for my “I’m-pretneding-this-isn’t-about-making-money-except-I’m-American-and-oh-yeah-daddy-needs-to-pay-some-bills.”
Running a startup is not for the faint-of-heart.
However, I believe in my product, the integrity, and the idea that professional, stylish dads deserve to have parenting products that make them feel special and proud.
But I started to panic, this week, as to why ECKnox isn’t growing as quickly as I’d hoped (or rather – dreamed.) I started to poll everyone I knew about pricing and wondering if I should drop the price. There’d be no margin and no money to be made, but just so that I would get on the map and start getting some notoriety.
And then a friend told me, “Gavin, I’ve known you for a few years and I’ve known about your company, but I’ve never seen an ad or any kind of marketing for it, whatsoever.”
Which reminded me: I’m still untested. I’m still under the radar.
So – I’m gonna hang on. I’m gonna keep doing what I’m doing and invest in some Instagram ads and hold on until I’ve been “tested” in the wilderness and get this thing GOING!
Thanks, in advance, for spreading the word with me.
